Dear Mailshrimp Mailchimp Team:

I think I am the passionate design leader you are looking for. Here’s why:

  1. I get results by empowering my team.
As head of design at Pillar—an app that helps people tackle their student debt—I grew a multi-disciplinary team of full-time and contract designers. My employee, Daiji, says, “Meredith gives me room to be autonomous and explore ideas but always provided a framework so that I could learn from mistakes which allowed me to progress as a designer.”

  2. I get results by working cross-functionally. I acted as a liaison between the product and marketing team to help define UX requirements for a holiday awareness campaign. Boost, a feature which allowed our users to ask for loan payments instead of traditional holiday gifts, helped the company get write-ups in major publications like Forbes, as well as led to the most Instagram engagement in the company’s history.

  3. I get results by listening. Just like Mailchimp employees—who traveled a combined 68,554 miles to meet and learn from customers(!)—I care about the people who use what I design. After seeing a spike in customer service emails related to payment processing, I worked with my team to add a progress bar to the payments detail page. Now, users can see where their money is in the process of moving from their bank account to their student loan...and not one email about payment processing since!

  4. I get results by building experiences that help users. While at Fundera, my team and I streamlined the application for financing and saw a 50% increase in desktop top-of-funnel conversion.

I'd love the opportunity to learn more about the Director of UX Design role, and I look forward to hearing from you.

My best to Freddie and the whole Mailchimp crew!
